💡 Summary

TLDR; I asked GPT to help me find role models who align with my goals and values, study their early years, and turn that into daily tasks to progress toward my goals.

I’ve seen a million ways to get ideas from GPT on life, business, etc. But I’ve always been turned off by how vague or generic the output sometimes seems. So instead I’m using GPT to build a blueprint around specific role models who align with my goals.

To start, I shared my goals, values, and desired lifestyle. Then asked for a list of potential role models already living my dreams. (I already have role models, sure, but it doesn’t hurt to broaden my horizons.)

It spit out a nice table of a few people that each aligned to part of my list and gave me reasons they matched. There were some people I knew, and some I didn’t, so I reviewed their books, podcasts, and interviews. Then, I narrowed the list down to 3 I wanted to blueprint around.

Next, I asked what their early lives looked like. Obviously I can’t publish a bestseller tomorrow or land a celebrity interview. But I can take the same kinds of small steps they took when they were starting out.

There are probably lots of ways to approach this next part, but I asked for a week’s worth of daily tasks based on the early days of my role models. For example: Writing regularly, sharing work publicly, and taking small, consistent steps with money.

Each day I check in, share what I did, and get feedback. Each week I review, then pull a fresh set of tasks, sometimes adding variety or pushing for bigger steps.

Meanwhile, I’m reading books and listening to podcasts from the people I’m following, to really understand them instead of just relying on GPT’s approximation.

I’ve only been at it for about two weeks, so results remain to be seen, but it’s already helping me build momentum and confidence. Would love to hear if you try it.

My messages aren’t getting received by 4o half the time. And if it’s an image upload?… oh hell no that ain’t getting through.

So far every issue I’m having with Chat GPT everyone echoes as having the same so I’ll be the guy to say the next one again I guess?

Who is experiencing this?

My workflow is getting jarred every few hours and I’m having to start new chats all the time to get around the problem.

But holy hell am I happy 4o is back.
